Hi all, I hope that this isn't too out of place. I've been a member of this tribe for a while, but haven't posted yet...

I had to call in sick for the third day in a row at a new job. I am still in the three-week training process. I didn't want to call in at all (I was already up and dressed, just too damn sick). I have lost jobs early on for dumb shit like this in the past. I was wondering if anyone knows what my rights are on this one. Do I have to prove I'm sick somehow? Can they fire me for being sick in CA? I'm scared because I need to keep the job. Any insight on how to cover my own ass would be greatly appreciated.
